When it will be finally finished?

Today I have installed DesktopX 3.5 056 through Impulse. Alas the Script Editor has ceased to work. Now it doesn't load any scripts (not only from my old projects but from Tutorial DX Objects too) and I'm very sad and disappointed again...

This is just a heads up on the problems I'm haveing. Installed 3.50.058 via stardock central. This version does not show in Impulse. Export as windows sidebar gadget does not work in Vista 64. Performance meters still not working correctly in Vista 64. Is there another update coming?

Lemme check.

I've reproduced it. Sigh.

You know, what do you guys think of us getting out of this whole "software" thing and get into something more cutting edge like...

Name 2 things you can do with DesktopX that you can't do with a good bee hive.

Name 2 things you can do with DesktopX that you can't do with a good bee hive.

1. Not get stung

2. Not get all sticky with honey

[If they are wrong then I'd suggest people re-evaluate what they are actually DOING with DesktopX]....

Glad I didn't check Central today. Things could be worse. You could work for a Newspaper!

I hate to be a mee too guy, but I have the same problem with the latest version of DX. All of my widgets with scripts disappeared from my Desktop.

Have you tried beekeeping?

An interim fix: please replace DAxHost.dll in Program Files\Stardock\Object Desktop\DesktopX\SDPlugins with the version in this file. Do this before launching DesktopX after update.

Thank you very much!!!!! The Script Editor is working.
Now I'll begin the full test of DX (import, edit, export, etc...). Hope it was the last bug and I'll can finally finish all of my widgets/gadgets for Vista.

It should have worked before! My personal apology to anyone who was hit by this problem.

Hmmmm... Unfortunately the Windows Media Player ActiveX control (version 11.0.6001.7000) is not working as before. Any of events like Control_MouseDown, Control_Playlist, Control_CurrentItemChange etc... are not supported.

Is there any chances to fix this problem or I need to make my own ActiveX control for Vista Media Player (nearly half of year I can't play my music library with DX.)?

Was this a problem in previous recent builds of DesktopX or was it affected specifically by this version?

Can you point me to or email me (greenreaper _at_ stardock dot com) a sample that worked previously, but now does not?

I already informed on this problem. Please look here: WWW Link

I found this problem long ago. The last version of Windows Media Player that was supported in DesktopX is 11.0.5721.5230. Any of newest versions from 11.0.6000.6344 are not working.

You may try to run this gadget: WWW Link. You will see that the only of functions controlled by timer are working. Any of other like Play, Stop, Media items counter etc... controlled by DX events are not working.

You may see these events in the Script Editor and write the code. But this code is not working...

I was not aware of this problem (when you reported that I was assigned to TweakVista). I will investigate it.

From what I could see immediately, it appears to be reproducible with a simple test case, but the solution may not be simple - the event is not directly called by DesktopX, but by the script runtime. A fix for this is not likely today.
